CAR SEATS
We are able to provide car seats to those with one of the Minnesota state-sponsored (Medicaid) insurance plans listed below.

HOW TO REQUEST A CAR SEAT:
Complete our request form
Keep an eye out for additional communication from Everyday Miracles, as car seats often require additional information to be approved
Once your request is approved, a Car Seat Technician will call you to schedule a time to deliver the seat and provide one-on-one safety education (this usually takes 3 weeks from the date of request)
Car seat deliveries may take up to 3 weeks after initial referral and deliveries are scheduled according to estimated due date of the baby. After receiving your request, we will only contact you if we need more information or to inform you that we are unable to fulfill your request.
MORE ON CAR SEATS:
You can be confident knowing that every car seat that we provide is brand new and has never been used. It will be delivered to your home by a trained Car Seat Technician, who will instruct you on how to safely install and use the seat in your vehicle.
While every insurance company provides a slightly different model of seat, all companies provide a convertible-style car seat, meant for children from newborn size to 30 lbs. There are no insurance companies that provide an infant carrier/bucket-style seat. Additionally, please keep in mind that it is not possible to request a specific style or color of seat when the cost is being covered by insurance.
If you are requesting a seat for a newborn (or soon-to-be born) baby, you will receive a convertible car seat, which may resemble the one pictured (which is only meant to be representative of the type of seat). This seat is rear-facing for infants and can transition to a forward-facing seat after the age of 2 years old. These convertible seats are safe for babies who are at least 5 lbs.
You may also request a car seat for older children. Insurance plans typically provide a seat for children up to the age of 8 years old. To do so, please select 'yes’, in the car seat section where it asks “Do you have a child (8 years or younger) who you'd like to request a car seat for?”. To add additional children, select ‘I want to add second child’.
**State-sponsored Blue Plus, HealthPartners, Hennepin Health and UCare plans will NOT approve car seat requests for pregnant clients until they are 7 months pregnant. We still encourage you to submit your car seat request prior to that point; however, please know this will directly affect the timing of receiving your seat. Once your car seat request is approved, you will receive an email (if provided) from our Car Seat Coordinator and your request will be held until further action can be taken farther along in your pregnancy.

HOW TO REQUEST A DOULA:
Complete our request form.
Once your coverage is verified, you will receive an email from Everyday Miracles with a link to our Doula Confirmation Form, which we ask you to complete as soon as possible.
Our Doula Coordinator will work with our team of doulas to find the best match possible (although this is largely based on doula availability around your estimated due date (EDD).
You will receive an email with information about your doula match and further instructions on how to schedule a meeting with your doula to confirm your placement!
MORE ON THE DOULA PLACEMENT PROCESS:
Our doula profiles can be viewed here. If you have a request for a specific doula or suggestions of ones you feel may be a good fit, we are happy to check with their availability for your birthing time. However, as a small nonprofit, we do not have the capacity for clients to interview several doulas, then select one from that process. Your placement will be determined by your response to the Doula Confirmation Form, your attendance at classes, and doula availability around your estimated due date (EDD).
While we will do everything possible to place you with a doula, making a request is not a guarantee that we will have a doula available at your birthing time
MORE ON THE CORE PROGRAM:
Our Core Doula Program, which allows us to bill doula services to insurance, is only for pregnant people with a Medicaid (state-sponsored) health insurance plan. We are able to refer breast pumps to those with one of the insurance plans listed below:

HOW TO REQUEST A BREAST PUMP:

Have your health care provider send a prescription via fax to (612) 353-6437 or via email to abby@everyday-miracles.org
Once your request had been approved, the breast pump will be shipped directly to your home address
Medela:
The Pump In Style® with MaxFlow™ personal double breast pump starter set is 100% covered ($0 out-of-pocket). If you prefer a different model from Medela, you may request by selecting ‘Other Medela or Spectra Upgrade’ on your request form; however, please note that for any other model there will be an additional cost, which varies with pump model.
Spectra:
The Spectra S2 model is 100% covered ($0 out-of-pocket). The Spectra S1 model is covered with a $55 out-of pocket upgrade fee that is paid through our online store. If you prefer a different model from Spectra, you may request by selecting ‘Other Medela or Spectra Upgrade’ on your request form; however, please note that for any other model there will be an additional cost, which varies with pump model.
*If you are receiving your pump through Commerical Insurance, you may be responsible for deductibles and co-pays on certain plans.
